Advanced Open Water Diver
AOWD - Advanced Open Water Diver (PADI) Diving course:
Basic version - 5 dives on 2 days incl. the specialties Deep Diver, Underwater Navigator, Night Diver, Drift Diver and Peak Performance Buoyancy. Other special areas may be included, depending on availability and current situation on the ground.
"Depending on your diving experience a half-day trip incl. a check dive mightbe necessary. The check dive will be charged additionally on-site.
Note: In addition to the course fees, the certification fee of EUR 40.00 and the AOWD Manual of EUR 40.00 has to be paid on-site in the event of successful completion. In addition to the above mentioned prices, a permit fee of EUR 7.00 per day is payable on-site.

For our divers, who do not stay in the Giftun Hotel, we offer a free pick up service from the booked hotel / private accommodation. However, this service does not apply to hotels /private accommodations in Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh and El Gouna, but includes all hotels / private accommodations in the area of Hurghada City. Depending on the location of the hotel / private accommodation, we plan the daily pick-ups of your diving holiday individually here on site. A corresponding list is available every day in our office.
The return to the surrounding hotels start at the base from 5 pm and are offered every half an hour. The last return trip takes place at the closure of the diving center, so depending on the season between 6 and 8 pm.
For participants in special tours (for example, earlier departure for wreck diving or later departure for night diving) we offer a timed pick up and return to the hotels.
The first pick-up for diving takes place in the morning of the first day of diving (usually beginner trip). If you have booked a diving course, you will be asked to pick you up for the afternoon of the day after your arrival, so that the details of the course can be discussed at the diving school. Here, the course documents and the diving equipment can be issued before the course starts.
Question: When does it make sense to take an AOWD course?
Answer: This question can not be answered in a general way, because every diver got different requirements. But it does make sense to gain some diving experience after finishing the Open Water Diver course. This has the advantage, that you bring along a degree of know-how and thus you are not occupied with handling yourself under water and you are able to concentrate on the respective tasks of the AOWD course.
Question: Can my partner accompany me during the AOWD course?
Answer: Yes, the course takes place on our normal full day trips with the other diving guests. Means your partner can accompany you on the boat ( as a diver / snorkeler ). During the course itself the instructor focuses only on his/her students and your partner would dive with the other diving guests.
Question: Do you offer AOWD courses throughout the year?
Answer: Yes, our diving center is open all year round and we offer AOWD courses as required. An advance reservation is recommended. The exact procedure will be discussed individually on-site.
Question: Do the instructors speak English?
Answer: Yes all our instructors speak English.
